Communications

The Communications and Publications division of the University of Puerto Rico Sea Grant College Program is one of the components of the Marine Outreach Program (MOP) along with the Extension and Education. In addition, the Communications and Publications division serves the dissemination needs of the two other functional areas of the program: Administration and Research. Among the communications products developed by this division are: two quarterly magazines (Boletín Marino in Spanish and Sea Grant in the Caribbean in English); books, educational posters, brochures, conference materials of all sorts, booklets, t-shirts, pins, one-pagers, and promotional materials, in addition to this web page.

The main objective of this division is to inform a wide audience about the work UPR Sea Grant performs to promote the wise use of coastal and marine resources in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

What do we do?

Boletín Marino: quarterly publication in Spanish. Subscription $10 a year.
Sea Grant in the Caribbean: quarterly online newsletter published in English.
Marine fact sheets: one to four pages of information related to our thematic areas. Most of our Marine fact Sheets are in Spanish. For PDF versions visit our Publications section.
Reports: publications to report the projects and accomplishments of the program such as Annual Reports, Implementation Plan, and Program Guides.
Books: for a list of books visit our publications section.
Posters and promotional materials: visit catalog section for current list
Conferences and workshops: our division coordinates all conferences and workshops carried out by all program components (i.e. research, outreach, education).
